Safety Plus Training news

Our new work vehicle has arrived! The addition of this vehicle will enhance our service provision on-site to our clients and has been fitted out to comply with mine site requirements.

In November, Scott was excited to return to Indonesia for the annual Fire and Rescue Competition. The Australian contingent was made to feel warmly welcome at a colourful opening ceremony, before the hard work began. Scott and his colleagues delivered pre-competition training sessions in Emergency Spinal Care prior to the Rescue comp and found the Indonesians to be eager learners. They were also able to assess the participants as they put these skills into practice during the week long rescue competition.

The Competition was a great success and Scott is looking forward to returning next year to continue this alliance.

Safety Plus Training pharmaceutical licence was renewed in August 2007. We are able to continue supplying clients with a wide range of pharmaceuticals. Scheduled medication includes:

o Paracetamol – 500mg Pk 100
o Immodium
o Antihistamine – Claratyne
o NSAIDs – Aspirin, Ibrufen
o Ventolin CFC Free MDI
o Methoxyflurane
o EpiPen

An extension to this licence now includes EpiPen auto-injectors (and EpiPen trainers).

Scheduled medications require a representative who holds an Occupational First Aid certificate.
